Welcome to the Financial Skills Assessment

This area contains the Financial Skills Assessment: It Makes Cents which is designed to provide teachers with information about what students know, understand and can do when managing money. The online assessment can be used as both a pre and post assessment of student learning as equivalent versions are randomly selected.

There are 2 levels of secure access:

• Student - You require a user name and password from your registered school to access the assessment.
• Class teacher - Your school needs to be registered. Once the school is registered then you can log on.

The class teacher uses the school’s secure log on to enter and delete students, view individual and school results and compare these to national results.

The results from your school can only be accessed by the teachers who have permission to use the school password. Each student’s level of achievement score will contribute to the national data about the levels of achievement of all students at that point in time.

The assessment takes about an hour for the 35 questions and students can print out a certificate with results, immediately on completion.
